About VALHER Strategic Counsel
We help organizations and individuals build practical operating systems that turn clear plans into measurable progress. Our approach is simple by design: clear standards, usable tools, and operating rhythms that make follow-through easier and results more sustainable.
Results should be built with people, not extracted from them.
Vision
A world where strong results do not come at the expense of employees, but because of them.
Mission
Build practical operating systems that help organizations and individuals turn strategy into repeatable execution and measurable outcomes.
Purpose
We make results sustainable by clarifying standards, strengthening leadership habits, and building operating rhythms that protect focus, reduce friction, and support consistent follow-through.
Style
Practical and direct. No unnecessary noise.
Steven Valdez-Hernandez
Founder
VALHER Strategic Counsel was founded by Steven Valdez-Hernandez, a U.S. Army retiree, nonprofit leader, entrepreneur, and systems-minded advisor focused on turning strategy into execution. Steven’s work sits at the intersection of leadership, workforce performance, and implementation. Across roles and environments, the pattern was consistent: good people were working hard, but outcomes were limited by unclear standards, fragmented processes, and systems that made follow-through harder than it needed to be.
Steven approaches performance as a design problem. He helps clients clarify priorities, define expectations, build operating rhythms, and implement tools that make progress measurable and repeatable. The style is practical and direct. The goal is not motivational noise. The goal is outcomes, with receipts.
Steven is currently pursuing a dual master’s degree in Organizational Psychology and Business Administration at the University of Hartford. VALHER Strategic Counsel reflects the same principle that shaped Steven’s leadership across service and civilian work: results should be built with people, not extracted from them.
